Oh, I feel better today, guys!!! My fever broke in my sleep last night. Poor Calibaby said when I finally came to bed for the third and last time last night I clung to him and whimpered in my sleep and was burning hot to the touch, and then after awhile I started sweating to the point where the pillow and sheets were soaking wet, and after that I slept quietly. We think that was when the fever must have broken. Today I feel much better, and even the headache is better, since my sinuses are draining.
We took the rental car back to Hamtramck this morning -- Calibaby drove the rental and I got to drive his beat up old work truck (I chose to drive the truck since I am still not 100% and am familiar with it). Hamtramck (or as we natives call it, Ham-tram) is an old city which was engulfed and surrounded by the city of Detroit, but which remains its own cultural and legal and political entity. It is the traditional Polish and eastern European area of the greater Metro area. We stopped off at a Polish deli and bought tubs of all different flavors of pierogies to eat (including some for freezing for later), and also at a Polish bakery where we bought several loaves of all different sorts of breads (again, some are now in our freezer), a gorgeous cheese coffee cake wheel, a Napolean tart, and angel wings. If any of you ever come visit us and like ethnic food, maybe we can take you there.
I enjoyed talking to Highdrake last night. He is very excited about Elohimfest and wants very much to take some time on that weekend and visit Chaco. I also want to visit Chaco. Perhaps if enough of us want to go we can make it a group trip as part of the weekend? We could pile into a couple of vehicles and pack up a big picnic in some coolers and it might be a lot of fun.
