Everything went well last night. No panic attack (I was concerned because all four I have ever had took place in the last year and three of the four came because I was excited and happy - go figure

). It turned out that the seats were only in the ninth row of the upper level, so only 1 1/2 sets of stairs, so were not too bad to get up to.
We parked on the street for free in the Greektown area of downtown Detroit (this is one of the main restaurant districts), ate dinner and drank hot tea with lemon at a Greek restaurant, and then rode the People Mover (the monorail that snakes through downtown) over to Joe Louis Arena. We got there in time to watch the teams warming up. The game was great - it was Kris Draper night to celebrate his recent 1000th NHL game. The Wings beat the Predators 6-2, but the Preds goalie was actually pretty hot and made a bunch of spectactular saves, so the score could have easily been a lot worse than that. Our beloved Captain, Nicky Lidstrom, scored two goals.

There was even a good hockey fight - involving Marion Hossa of all people. Who ever knew he could throw punches like that?
After the game we climbed back on the (very crowded) People Mover and went back to the car and drove home in the rain and the snow - but the roads were only wet, not snowy or icy.
Today I am exhausted beyond measure, but happy. I had a vacation night from work last night, and only have to make it through work tonight and then will have two days off to rest and recover.
This is what they play at the Joe when a game becomes a blow out:
Good to hear that you got your contact, Moonwatcher.

And the income tax refund which will hopefully come without any problems. I know at least one state (Kansas) apparently does not have enough money to pay people their refunds - that is pretty bad.

i am really hoping that will not spread around and infect other places, too.

I am really relieved the propranolol did its job last night and kept my body on an even keel. Now I do not have to worry (I hope) about having a happiness triggered panic attack at Fist's wedding.
