EarthBlood. Nice to see you around. Does this mean you're going to make a reappearance on the Watch too?

Yes, yesterday, (our Monday) was Labor Day.

Earthy, it is always wonderful to see you~~

We're back and we're very tired. My older son hates his drawing class, but is doing well thus far. He was all bothered because he wasn't quite two weeks ahead of where we was supposed to be in his classes. ******************************************************

hehe - I tried to go to the watch earlier - either my comp or the watch is having difficulty...
I've been lurking both places - takes a long time to catch up on stuff.... Cripple but free; I was blind all the time I was learning to see<i></i>

The Watch has been having problems lately, Earthy - especially last month when they were working on the server. So it was the site itself rather than anything your computer was doing. And I am glad you have rejoined us.

Last night at work was pretty rough. We were short staffed. This morning, I am surrounded by soft purring kitties. Makes the world a lot better place. ******************************************************

We are back from our wanderings and our kids are at their respective colleges getting settled into rooms and classes. It sure is quiet around here with no kidlets in the house!

Our trip was fun and included a healthy dose of outlet (and other) shopping, mostly for things the kids needed for their rooms.

Although we escaped being hit by Hurricane Ernesto in Miami, which apparently pretty much bypassed SE Florida anyway, we were treated to a healthy dose of wind and rain from the storm last Saturday in Manhattan, NYC.

It's good to be back, in any case. How has everyone been?

I hope everybody's having a fab Friday night! Welcome back to the new, improved Hangar and (even tho I'm actually listening to Born With a Broken Heart by Kenny Wayne Shepard) heres Kevin Spacey as Bobby Darin, enjoy:

Oh, the shark, babe, has such teeth, dear
And it shows them pearly white
Just a jackknife has old MacHeath, babe
And he keeps it, ah, out of sight
Ya know when that shark bites with his teeth, babe
Scarlet billows start to spread
But fancy gloves, though, wears old MacHeath, babe
So there's never, never a trace of red
Let the thing swing
On the sidewalk, huh, huh, whoo sunny morning, un huh
Lies a body just oozin' life, eek
And someone's sneakin' 'round the corner
Tell me, could that someone be Mack the Knife?

There's a tugboat, huh, huh, down by the river dontcha know
Where a cement bag's just a-hangin on down
Oh, that cement is there strictly for the weight, dear
Five'll get ya ten old Macky's back in town
D'ja hear 'bout Louie Miller? He disappeared, dear
After drawin' out, feel good, all his hard-earned cash
And now MacHeath spends just like a sailor
Could it be our boy's done somethin' rash?
Come on, come on

Jenny Diver, ho, ho, ho, Sukey Tawdry
And Miss Lotte Lenya, good everning, Lucy Brown
Oh, the line forms way on the right, babe
And now that Macky's back in olderly town

I said Jenny Diver, look out, Sukey Tawdry
Stay back, Lotte Lenya, move it over Lucy Brown
Oh the line forms way on the right, babe
And now that Macky's back in town
Look out, old Macky is back!!

Things have been rough the last few days. I have been missing my son very much, and that seems to be stirring up all sorts of loss and grief from my past.

Did go out on a nice date tonight, and that has helped a bit. And tomorrow my younger son's soccer season starts - that should also help take my mind off of things.

I strongly believe you really have to hit bottom to find catharsis, Duchess. I think it's good (relatively speaking) that all this stuff is coming out. I think you should go with it, vent it all out (not to be confused with just letting things rage whenever it strikes you, as that can lead to a self-increasing pattern). Regardless, it's normal, especially, from what I've read, for women.

Quote:“Hitting bottom isn’t a weekend retreat. It’s not a @#%$ seminar. Stop trying to control everything and just let go! LET GO!”
-Tyler Durden

BTW, glad to see you're finding a creative outlet in the 'Tank. I didn't even want to step into the atmosphere of that thread, but your posts were quality. ________________

Hip hip
Hip hip
Hip hip
Hip hip

When you're on a holiday
You can't find the words to say
All the things that come to you
And I wanna feel it too

On an island in the sun
We'll be playing and having fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can't control my brain

Hip hip
Hip hip

When you're on a golden sea
You don't need no memory
Just a place to call your own
As we drift into the zone

On an island in the sun
We'll be playing and having fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can't control my brain

We'll run away together
We'll spend some time forever
We'll never feel bad anymore

Hip hip
Hip hip
Hip hip

On an island in the sun
We'll be playing and having fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can't control my brain

We'll run away together
We'll spend some time forever
We'll never feel bad anymore

Hip hip

We'll never feel bad anymore
No no
We'll never feel bad anymore
No no
No no

Thank you Syl and Danlo. You guys both rock.

The last couple of days have been a bit better. I'll muddle through this rough patch - and I have a whole week off in November to go visit my kiddo. ******************************************************

Did anyone see my previous post? Guess I wasn't missed.

Sorry you are having a tough time, Duchess. Hope you are feeling better.

I can't quite get used to being kidless myself. I am used to Foamy being away, and we chat frequently on AIM, but I keep thinking I am going to do this or that with my son and then remembering he isn't home anymore. "Does the walker choose the path, or the path the walker?"<i></i>

Actually, my response two posts up, where I said I'm not doing too well these days was in answer to your post asking how people are doing.

It's weird - little things set me off. Coming home from work in the middle of the night, and wondering for that split second why my son's little truck isn't in the driveway. His kitty Matty always running into his room and crying and climbing all over and under the bed. Little things like that... ******************************************************
