Hmm. He'd probably go for some carrot sticks or maybe an orange...he's in his first regular season meet tonight. He won the varsity slot again, we'll have to see how he does. They had their first tournament last Saturday and he won his first ever gold medal, (he got some silvers and bronzes last year in middle school)-- not bad for a little freshman! All that training in the off season and those three weeks of camp seem to be paying off...he'll probably drop in tomorrow night to make his football picks. He says he wants to beat that guy from Boston. "What did you say to the Emperor about me?" "He wanted to know what I saw in you.I told him that you poured out honor like a fountain, all around you." "That's weird. I don't feel full of honor, or anything else, except maybe confusion." "Naturally not. Fountains keep nothing for themselves."Edited by: Duchess of Malfi at: 12/12/02 12:04:26 pm

Boston's cool. My sister lived there for a few years and we went out to visit her a few times. I have this wonderful memory of sitting on the banks of the Charles River, watching the fireworks and listening to the Boston Pops. And I remember a great bookstore right near Harvard! is it still there? I think it was called Afterwords or something like that? "What did you say to the Emperor about me?" "He wanted to know what I saw in you.I told him that you poured out honor like a fountain, all around you." "That's weird. I don't feel full of honor, or anything else, except maybe confusion." "Naturally not. Fountains keep nothing for themselves."

I don't think any normal people can actually afford to live in Boston itself. My sis had to live an hour out in near a place the locals called "Woos-tah" but says Worchester or something like that on the map. New England accents are funny! The people in Maine have a completely different one from the people in Boston who have a different one from the people in outstate Mass who have a different one from the people in Rhode Island. I got a real kick out of hearing them whenever we'd go out there!
My sis lived a bit up the road from a place I really liked called Sturbridge Village, kind of a living history place, if you know where that is. "What did you say to the Emperor about me?" "He wanted to know what I saw in you.I told him that you poured out honor like a fountain, all around you." "That's weird. I don't feel full of honor, or anything else, except maybe confusion." "Naturally not. Fountains keep nothing for themselves."

When wrestling season is over, I'll take lots and lots of chocolate donuts with frosting and sprinkles!
And some warm cookies right from the oven.
And a great big barbecued steak or five. And may the best wrestler win!

I love the Santa one! Very cute! "What did you say to the Emperor about me?" "He wanted to know what I saw in you.I told him that you poured out honor like a fountain, all around you." "That's weird. I don't feel full of honor, or anything else, except maybe confusion." "Naturally not. Fountains keep nothing for themselves."
