Me too -- sorry, Duchess. :( Maybe it would be best to come from her supervisor...? And if you now tell me that *you're* her supervisor, I will feel *very* sorry for you. :)

Thanks for the good NaNo wishes, all! :)

Today I am fighting to stay awake. Have been foolishly burning the midnight oil for weeks, partly for NaNo and partly just stupidity. This morning it was *really* hard to get out of bed. :nightcap:

Well, ali, I'm not one to talk, as I often stay up much longer than I should. They say 8 hours should be the minimum for a truly sound and beneficial sleep, but during the work week, I get by with about 5 hours.

Duchess, that's a tough jam. I'm afraid I'd be someone who would just bear the smell, rather than risk antagonizing the person. But if I had to bring it up, I might ask her (casually) how she has been coping with the stress of the job - the hope being that she might say she's been too tired to get things done at home...like, er, the laundry. Something like that might give you the opening you need. I'm just totally improvising here.

I usually get around 6 hours a night. Means I have to go to bed early though, since I'm up at 05h30 every weekday.

Ick, 5:30am. Getting up that early is against my religion. (Why, that would be the Positively No Rising Before 6AM Religion, and thanks for asking! ) My alarm goes off at 6am but I usually hit the snooze button a few times.... I'd like to sleep in on both weekend days, but I have to leave the house by 7:30am on Saturdays for Czech class, so I usually only get one sleep-in day a week. (This weekend is the last class of the semester and I'm seriously thinking of skipping it to just stay home and sleep. Plus the weather's supposed to turn icky, maybe.)

I *should* be in bed by 11am but lately it's been more like midnight or 1am....

Safe travel Cleburne.
May your memories of him console you and your family in this time of loss.
And may it be a memorable wake.
See you when you return.
