No, I was teasing you---she's covered a lot of the NFL and does the sidelines for Monday Night Football on ESPN. Turico does a lot of NBA games and broadcasts MNF. He also hosts, in the old Dan Patrick slot (the prime 1-3pm), Turico and Van Pelt on ESPN radio, and whenever either host is absent Tafoya usually subs.

It was a friendly joke towards you as Canadians probably don't give a crap about what happens on US sports radio or TV.

Nonsense. They care about ice hockey if carried on US station. Especially in border areas where they are fans of a local US based team like the Sabres or Wings. :wink:

Looking out across the Sports World:
This is the first real weekend for College Football with the NFL not far behind. Most of the initial games are preordained blowouts but there are a couple of interesting match up such as OK State/Georgia and the BYU game. I believe duchy's team, Michigan, has disposed of Western Michigan, by now. I'll willing my Lobos to have a revenge game at Texas A&M tonight. They look pretty good so far under new coach Mike Locksley, he has good recruiting ties back east, as well as in Texas. Hopefully we'll break our strange curse of not winning openers since '05, actually I think the stats said that we haven't scored a TD in an opener since then...acccck! Go :wolf:

The US Tennis Open goes full steam this weekend with Rafael Nadal looking much better than expected and the William's siters being force to play each other in the semifinals due to some really weird USWTA computer and World ranking errors. Apparently they should have been ranked 1 & 2.

The regular Major League Baseball season is in it's last month with most division winners clearly defined and most wildcard races are starting to become runaways. The Yankees, Tiger, Angels, Phillies, Cardinals, Dodgers and Boston all looking pretty good.
