Ah, now I know where the spoof band Spinal Tap got its name from.
And no anesthetic! :hair:

I'm seeing on the local news that there have been huge lineups for the vaccine. The recent, sudden death of a healthy 13-year old boy in Ontario from H1N1 added to the scare, I'm sure. The vaccine clinics have been staying open past normal closing hours to accommodate the influx, but they've still had to turn people away because they don't want the health workers to suffer burn out. This first week of the immunization was meant to give priority to those in the high risk group - children, pregnant women, etc. - but I hear they won't refuse anyone in line who wants the shot. At any rate, if I'm going, it won't be until next week. By then, hopefully, the lineups won't be as crazy.

You guys in Canada must be having an easier time getting supplies of the vaccine than health departments here in the US, MW. They only have a certain number of doses at each clinic and are turning people away when they run out. :(

Today's was Grace's first day of preschool, she instantly became the natural leader of her class. Ava, Veronica and her became the 3 Musketeers in less than an hour! She's ready to conquer the world, and I'm ready to cry! (LOL)

The Directv guy came out today and got our TV going again. I am glad, since my hub and sons were undergoing football withdrawal.

Well technically, I had nothing to do with it.

But they're mad I tell you.
...mad.

The two of them.
I live in a household of madmen.

Beorn was assigned to write a brief sermon, using a general "sin" in the style of Jonathan Edwards. He is supposed to read it himself in class to present it, but Hyperception recorded himself reading it as an example of the style, since Beorn and I are Jewish and don't get exposed much to it...

Expand the "more info" link in the description for the text of what Beorn composed.

I knew constantly telling him "do not ask permission from your father to do something you *know* I would not allow!" would sink in somehow!!! :sneak:

We get rid of them by banning their IP address and deleting their account. :D

Stopping them is tough...and it's impossible to stop the human ones.

My evening got derailed due to an overflowed toilet. And I didn't have a plunger. So, after the fact, I spent a couple of hours roaming stores looking for a decent plunger. Then spent the last hour cleaning up the mess. My bathroom mat had soaked up a lot of the water, which I'm sure helped prevent an even bigger mess. Of course, I threw out the mat. Funny thing was, it was a new mat I had just put on the floor. DOH! So, yeah, that was my interesting event of the day. Not terribly fun, but interesting.
