Phew! It took me some time to ponder the most interesting thing I have done today. In reflection it seems I enjoyed getting to know myself a bit better. The house was silent, kids in school and I had the entire day off from work. I snacked, played with my Mac and read. I visited the past but mostly I tried to grasp my future. Time is spent so quickly I have to enjoy every moment :>

After working the last seven days and feeling completely exhausted, I was hoping for a nice, quiet day. Not happening. My older son is very sick with allergies which have stuffed up his sinuses. I had to go get him some sinus medicine, poor kid.

I had to take my younger son school shopping. Then the high school called and they lost all of his registration paperwork, so I had to drive to school and ill it all out again. About to go watch him play soccer in Carlton...

The soccer field for Carleton Airport High School turned out to be on a long dirt driveway off of a winding dirt road in the woods and corn fields back behind the school. :roll:

The parents of the toddlers had a heckuva hard time keeping their kiddies from running amok in the corn fields that surrounded the field on two sides. :lol:

Yesterday was a challenge. Today will be much more pleasant. I am nearly done packing up for a long weekend at a lakeside cottage in the Waterloo State Recreation Area out near Grass Lake.

It is a boating lake, not a swimming lake, but there is reportedly a row boat there, so we can get out on the water. No TV, no internet - though we will be packing a radio to listen to the UM football game and to the Tigers.

Well, I didn't do it, but Hyperception got us hooked up with wireless today!
So now Beorn can use his new netbook at home to do his online Latin, instead of heading to the library every afternoon.
And we can see if the Wii and new Playstation 3 slim recognizes the network.
Yay!
