Hey all, I thought I would make an appearance over here. I should actually come more often Anyway, looks like life has decided to throw me another challenge. Thursday I was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma (DLBCL). It's in Stage III ES, B. Which means I need to have a spleenactomy before I can start R-CHOP chemo treatments. It's also in my liver so we are going to try radiation too. So, yeah...I'm in for a lot of fun over the next 6 months. Sounds really bad, I know. But it'll all be okay, it will. The rate of total remission after treatment is between 60-70%, even for someone like me who is in stage 3 already. It's a really aggressive form of NHL, so I need to get treatment started asap. Once this pnuemonia I'm dealing with now is completely gone, I'll go in for the spleenactomy.

No gloomy thoughts, okay? I have so much love and support behind me, and I have the sweet Grace of God holding me up. This too shall pass, and I'll come out of it just fine.

Jesus!!! Hang in there Furls!!! Tam works PT in the Infusion dept. of Oncology and says that's pretty rough. Our love (including Elora Grace's) and prayers are with you! You're too good a person for something like this to happen to! God better be with you or I'll kick his butt!

Damn Furls. Sorry to hear that. Still, sounds like the odds are pretty decent. We'll be rooting for you.

Officially, hello!

Thanks Menolly, Furls Fire, Avatar and danlo for welcoming me in the Earthsea dissection thread. I'm currently reading the Wizard of Earthsea, and have the Earthsea Quartet. I managed to get Zindell's Neverness from the library, so I'll put that on my next to read list!

Thanks to all of you and Kevin's Watch for giving me a large list of books that I need to read - it has enriched my existence!

Oh, and those of you who don't frequent KW as much these days should know that Furls went under, or is going under, the knife at 7am mountain time. Please keep her in your thoughts.

If you've missed me at all my comp crashed Sat nite, I just got it back up and running now. I've had to reset all my passwords and am having trouble logging onto the Watch. So The NFL pick game witll start sending more mass emails soon and Menolly, who is trying to set up a college pick 'em game, probably needs all the help she can get. Life was simpler Monday-I had to EEK!!! -read . (but I did get my 4th and 5th fantasy football done Sun & Mon on my neighbor's laptop.
