Alan, I think it is already out in the UK as of about a week ago, out in the USA this week.

Got my hand on Raymond .E.Feist new book hard back copy "Rides a Dread Legion", I was a bit reluctant to purchase it as it was £14 and only has 400 pages or so in it. I like his books and the characters he uses so I went ahead and threw away my money .

Well, hopefully you liked the book, and it was not money thrown away.

Am reading Jacqueline Carey's latest, Naamah's Kiss - a reboot of sorts of her two Kushiel trilogies, set about 4-5 generations later then those two trilogies, with a charming (thus far) mixed race British girl as the main character.

OK. Whatever. One of those scenes where you do not know whether to laugh, cry, or both.

Reapers Gale, even though I haven't read the 2 immediately preceding it. Oh well...

That's very very kind of you Duchess, and I greatly appreciate the offer.

I very occasionally give duplicate books away, but never sell them. In fact, I am a notorious hoarder of books. (And everything for that matter.) I believe that I still have almost every book I've ever owned since I was about 5 years old. And probably every scrap of paper I've ever written anything on. It's the bane of my long-suffering GF's life. (This is why I probably have a couple of thousand books lying around the house, and at least another couple of thousand in storage. )

My comment was about the way I was reading Erikson though...and the fact that I'd read his books in whatever order they fell into my hands. So far, I've read in this order: 1, 2, 3, 4, and then 8, 7 and (currently) 6.

Now I'm usually never one to summarily turn down the offer of books, but posting stuff that heavy to the southern tip of Africa is an expensive procedure that I couldn't in good conscience ask you to do. For the record, I also love historical and historical fiction, and the GF enjoys all of the above and biographical stuff too. (Definitely not romances. )

Maybe if you get some good ones that you don't want to keep some time, but please don't worry about it on my account. *bows deeply*

Reading Heldenhammer The story of Sigmar another Warhammer series book

Bloodheir was first rate very dark very epic heroic fantasy. If I had one complaint about Winterbirth, the first book in Ruckley's Godless World Trilogy is that it was a bit slow to get going. No such problem with the second book. Am about to start the third, Fall of Thanes, the third book. I still do not know if a single major character will survive until the end of the book - or if the world itself will survive for that matter!
