From the latest message this afternoon, it looks like Vain is working on things. ******************************************************

Obviously, I spoke too soon. When I dropped by the Watch this afternoon, there was a message up from Vain saying he was working on things. Tonight the place has been taken over by the hackers again.

The Watch is up and running again! It's a little different, not much...Vain deserves many kudos and presents-it was probably a massive effort to get it on a new server and running again! To Vain!!! *****

The Blue Hack Team seems to be attacking the Watch again this afternoon.

Hopefully by the time I get home from work Vain will have things under control! ******************************************************

Vain got things under control very quickly this time around. I hope this group of people will leave the Watch alone in the future. ******************************************************

Well, looks like the Turkish hackers have now taken over the Watch for a third time. This is really getting old...

Hopefully Vain can regain control rapidly this time, as he did last time...

It does make me wonder, though, as we are contemplating moving this board (the Hangar) to another format with another host if the type of board at the Watch is particularly vulnerable to hackers, or if the Watch's host might be? ******************************************************

Bastard changed my password and email settings. He changed my username, too, but I managed to change that back before I got logged off. ________________

Hi there Lucimay! Please jump right in to any discussions that catch your fancy!

Syl, were they messing only with you, or with all of the mods? Or does anyone even know yet? When I dropped in and saw what was going on, I didn't even try to log in.

Looks like Vain has now taken the Watch down to work on it.

Does anyone know why these Turkish hackers keep coming to the Watch? How did they even find and target a book discussion site for heaven's sake??? Of all the things to keep attacking... <i>Edited by: Duchess of Malfi at: 1/30/06 4:02 pm
