Ahira's Hangar

It is a house cleaning day. I just scrubbed a bathroom ceiling to floor and am about to tackle the litter boxes. The kids are putting away ther holiday decorations. Notice that I saved all of the most disgusting tasks for myself.

We have been busy tearing apart and cleaning up the house this weekend. One of my least favorite activities in the world.

Does this mean your energy level is rising and you are feeling better though?

It only means that the new furniture is due to come in this week.

Thankfully, this is my last week working day shift. May I never have to work another. It is unnatural for humans to have to get up when it is so dark and cold outside. I am hoping that once I can go back to the schedule I have been working for more than twenty years and actually get to see sunlight on a daily basis, I will start to feel better.

In the meantime, I think my thyroid is dying. It hurts everytime I swallow...

Well, the new furniture did not come. They said that two of the three pieces have been made and are at the Belleville warehouse. The third has yet to be made by the factory, and they are saying to look for all three to be delivered on Valentine's Day weekend.

Well, last week was rough. Lots of snowy roads - I saw many people off in ditches both driving in to work and driving home from work. But I did survive, and hopefully I will never have to work another day shift.

In addition, we all have a nasty bronchitis. "We" meaning everyone here at home along with everyone at work. Seems to be the thing going around the area right now.

After only having Saturday off, tonight I will be heading in to work to go back my usual Sunday through Thursday second shift. I have the feeling this might be another long week.

Life could definately be better than it has been over the past month, but I am still hopeful for eventual health and happiness.

Ah well, such is the price of gainful employment no doubt. Stressful though.
