There were about three games that got most of us-on the last reg. Sunday of the year. Motivation doesn't really mean that much to some teams set in their playoff berths. The Jacksonville game is one example-I never saw Garrard, MJD or Taylor on the field-so Texans romp 42-28 with Andre Davis lighting things up with 2 kickoff returns for TDs: one for 97 & one for 104 yd. In, probably, the upset of the day, so far, the Seahawks were busting their butts to win this one. Chris Redman had other ideas throwing for 251 yds 4TD 2 to Alge Crumpler 67 yd Atlanta 44 Sea 41. The Bucs didn't care too much and took care of injuries Panthers 31 TB 23 DeAngelo Williams 121 yd rush 2TDs. Williams you say? Guys who haven't done much tend to break out in week 17 like the Packers great rookie prospect Brandon Jacobs who ran for 113 yd, Favre throws 2 quick TDs before riding the pine 34 Det 13. McNabb said the Eagles played for respect he passes for 345 yd 1TD 17 Buff 9. In a game that matters a whole hell of a lot to Cleveland Jamaal Lewis rushed for 128 yd 20 SF 7 (if Tennessee loses Brownies are in). Bengals 38 Mia 25 Carson Palmer 316 pass yd 3TDs, Chad Johnson 131 rec yd 2TDs. Finally it was the Devin Hester show as he catches a TD and returns a punt 64 yards for another Chicago 33 NO 25.

afternoon results:
Washington played like champs holding Dallas to 1 yard rushing, they secure a playoff berth against Seattle this Saturday by winning 27-6 Clinton Portis 104 yd rush 1TD. Had Dallas won the Vikings could have taken that spot with a win. Not to be, Jason Elam kicks a 34 yd FG in OT Broncos 22 Minn 19 Brandon Marshall 114 rec yd 1TD. San Diego nails the #3 spot in the AFC (so they may elude NE, for awhile) beating Oak 30-7. Mike Nugent 43 yd FG in OT Jets 13 KC 10. Kurt Warner 300 yd pass 3TDs, Larry Fitzgerald 171 rec yd 2TDs Arizona mangles this year's top draft pick (StL) 49-19. Steelers didn't seem to care what happened in this game until a huge 4th qt comeback fell short Ravens 27 Pitt 21.

Aside from Reggie Wayne with 12 catches and a costly fumble Coltz don't show up and the Titans knock Cleveland out of the playoffs and become San Diego's sarificial lamb 16-10.
