Well, there a few highlight days to always set aside for sports fans in Michigan:
July: Negro League weekend at Comerica Park, where the Detroit Tigers wear Detroit Stars uniforms and where Negro League players line the concourse of the stadium to meet and greet and sign autographs for Tigers fans
November: Thanksgiving Day NFL football - always good for some laughs at the expense of the Lions, if nothing else
December - New Year's Eve Red Wings game, I believe that is a tradition for longer than I have been alive; where even the zamboni driver is in formal wear
sometime in the fall: Michigan State vs. Michingan in college football - a little interstate rivalry where everyone must choose either the green and white or the maize and blue or risk ridicule
November -
the rivalry in any sport - Ohio State vs. Michigan in college football
Last time the *uckeyes came to town, people with Ohio plates were tailgating in parking lots as far out as my road, a good ten miles from the stadium! a lady I know who lives in Ann Arbor felt so sorry for an RV load of Ohio State fans who could not find parking or tickets who were slowly driving around lost in town, that she let them into her house to watch the game with her on her TV
Tomorrow is the day. A good day not to leave the house.

Too many people from Ohio out there.
Only one thing to say:
ohowihateohiostate
I think they will win this year, too, darn their scarlet and gray hearts.
