I have fallen in love with the artwork in this little graphic novel. :hearts:

I have been reading Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann. :)

It is pretty cool! When a shepherd in Ireland is murdered, his flock of sheep decide to solve the crime. 8)

Now that sounds like it could be really cheezy, but the author does a great job with it. The sheep talk to each other, but not to humans. And she does a great job conveying experiencing the world as much with your senses of smell and taste as much as vision and hearing. :)

And she does a great job devloping the more important sheep characters, and givign them real personalities. :) Better than some authors do with human characters.

And the ram named Othello is a great badass sheep. 8)

Moon Called by Patricia Briggs. Despite having a hideous cover that has little to nothing to do with the contents, the book itself it actually pretty good. It is about a half Native American shapeshifter named Mecedes (Mercy) Thompson. She can switch back and forth between human and coyote forms at will. 8)

I just finished what I believe to be a debut novel called Hounding the Moon by P. R. Frost. It is about a best selling fantasy novelist named Tess Noncoire, who has a secret identity as a warrior of the Sisterhood of the Celestrial Blade Warriors (i.e. she is a demon slayer, life bonded with a sarcastic runt of an imp named Scrap). The story mixes in some Native American mythology. It was more than a bit over the top in places, but was still fun enough that I will read a sequel if one is ever released.

Over the next week or so I will be frantically skimming/reading Naomi Novik's Tereraire books (historical fantasy set in the Napoleanic Wars with dragons making up the Aerial Corps) and Donaldson's TCTC books - both of those series have new books coming out soon! :o

Rereading the first four Malazan books, before moving to the fifth. Currently in the middle of Deadhouse Gates.

I love books 2-4, but do not even get me started on how much I dislike Midnight Tides.

It still amazes me that after rereading the Covenant books by Donaldson so many times, new things still strike me. 8)

I know what you mean. I sometimes get concerned that I won't feel the awe from a new book that I've felt so often. Silly, really, but I sometimes worry about that. Then something like Malazan comes along, and all is right in the world! :D

 I'll let you know if I agree when I get to it. That is, when I get to it again. I realized the entire time I was reading 1-4 that it was too much, and that I needed to start over again at some point. But I couldn't stop!!! But MT is such an obvious change that it looked like a good time.

It doesn't seem like I'll like it as much as 1-4. Entirely different stuff. But I'll probably find something of interest in there. And the glossaries for BH again shows many names and groups I love, so I'll be happy again eventually.

Did you read Night of Knives? They say it's only about 300 pages, and tells of the assassination of Kellanved and Dancer. Should be pretty cool!! :D
