Well, the Tiggies have sure fallen apart the past couple of weeks. On the other hand, even if they do not win another game this year, I will be satisfied with their season. They have already given us a lot of good memories. And everytime I hear the new pitcher's name (he got called up to replace the inured Kenny Rogers) I get a quick little giggle.

Yeah, I know that it is immature to giggle over the last name of Tata, but...

One of my friends, aged nearly fifty and a life time Tigers fan, got to go to her first game last night. Her sister won tickets from a radio station, so they ditched their husbands for the night and had a girls' night out at the stadium.

Even though the Tigers lost, they had a great time.

But what really really cracks me up - and validates the rotten experience I had at US Cellular Field in Chicago last summer - is that my friend and her sister sat by a group of White Sox fans. The dad of the group told them that they go to baseball games at Wrigley when the Sox play there and they drive to Detroit from Chicago every summer to see the Sox play the Tigers - but that they do not go to games at US Cellular Field because the fans are such loud mouthed obnoxious drunks there.

Sometimes I think Polanco and Guillen are keeping my Fantasy team's average above 300 all by themselves. Damn Sox swept them but Verlander goes up against a crappy pitcher and a demoralized team in the Devil Rays tonight so hopefully they'll bounce back before the damm Yankees tie them in the wildcard race.

I've crawled out of 7th to 5th, after the "Halladay curse" fiasco and Allen Embree fell into my lap so along with Acardo and Wagner I now have three hot relievers. Once Pedro Martinez gets going I may have a tough team that can make 2nd by the end of the month.

He gave up 4 runs in 6 innings and struck out 4, but the Tigers held on to win. Damn FB-Ball, I'm starting to become a Kitten fan...

Thank God our relief pitchers came through for us for once! (or that is how it sounds anyway - that it was up to the bullpen and they came through for a change).

Ah, Fist is a little bit happier than duchess at the moment. Heh.

But fear not, the Yankees are facing the Angels the next few days. Nobody's given them more trouble in the last several years than the Angels.

Poor Tigers are so decimated by injuries, I do not think they will make it to the playoffs this year.

On the other hand, Fisty, I will be happy for your Yankees to go there if my Tiggies cannot. As long as it is not the stinkin' White Sox with their crazy manager. I still cannot believe the nasty thing that asstard said about our dear Maggs. I hope he is given an atomic wedgie by a mob of enraged Venezuelans.
