My new dental insurance came just at the right time - yes, my older son needs to have all four wisdom teeth out!

At least this way we only have to pay 30% of it - which will be hundreds rather than thousands of dollars!

Still, another big unexpected and unbudgeted financial hit, among many lately!

Perhaps life will seem better after going out to the symphony and dinner in Detroit tonight. Though Mahler's Second Symphony is a pretty intense piece of music.

And equally happily- my back yard is filled with gorgeous wild flowers right now - little violets (both purple ones and white ones), big showy trilliums, May apples, wild geraniums, and some sort of white thing I have not yet identified. Life is good as long as you can have flowers.

It's been awhile since I stopped by.

But, nice to be here, all the same.

I think that will be a pretty necessary conversation.

So if husband and son cannot pamper you tomorrow, pamper yourself instead! Take a nice long bubble bath and pick up a bunch of flowers for yourself when you go grocery shopping. Make youself your favorite breakfast. Drink a great big mug of some good gourmet tea. Skip doing the laundry for just the one day.

(So speaks the woman doing laundry as she types and is about to run to the hardware store and the grocery store, and who will be doing yard work for the rest of the day. )
