Fow whatever odd reason, I have been really into Mahler's Third Symphony lately. I was listening to it yet again this morning. ******************************************************

I am listening to Suites for Flute and Jazz Piano Trio by a French composer named Claude Bolling. It is a marriage of jazz and chamber music, and is very relaxing and pleasant to listen to. ******************************************************

Last night was a classic rock night with the Beatles, Stones, The Who, and U2.

Tonight is a jazz night with everyone from Wynton Marsalis to Cannonball Adderly to some gentle acoustic guitar. ******************************************************

Now-(the dimension breaking) Level V off King Crimson's The Power to Believe---followed by the awesome Eyes Wide Open.

Well here it comes, here comes another day
Another decision on the way
Well here it comes, here comes a color display
Of preferences to make
Well here it comes, here comes a knock on the door
Open it for an opportunity
Well here it comes, here comes another day
For memories to be made
Eyes wide open
Eyes wide open all the time

There it was, it was a perfect take
And were you asleep or awake?
Well there it was, it was a perfect time
To speak your mind
And there it was, it was the chance of a lifetime
Flew right by, and what did you do?
Well there it was, it was another day
For memories to be made

Eyes wide open
Eyes wide open all the time
I've got my eyes wide open
Eyes wide open all the time
Cause you never know what you might see

Eyes wide open
Eyes wide open all the time
I've got my eyes wide open
All the time
Eyes wide open
Cause you never know what you might see *****

Oh yeah---serious agnst rocking-Clubland by Elvis Costello

With a handful of backhanders and a bevy of beauty
Youre going off limits
Going off duty
Going off the rails
Going off with booty
They tell tales of fiction found on all the criminal types
Lead to a higher ranking man or a face with thin red stripes

Chorus:
The boys next door
The mums and dads
New weds and nearly-deads
Have you ever been had in Clubland?

Theres a piece in someones pocket to do the dirty work
Youve come to shoot the pony
Theyve come to do the jerk
They leave him half way to paradise
They leave you half way to bliss
The ladies invitation never seemed like this

Chorus

The long arm of the law slides up the outskirts of town
Meanwhile in Clubland they are ready to pull them down
Hey

The right to work is traded in for the right to refuse admission
Dont pass out now, theres no refund
(when) Did you find out what you were missing
The crowd is taking forty winks minus ten percent
You barely get required sleep to go lingering with contemptment
Thursday to Saturday
Moneys gone already
Some things come in common these days
Your hands and work arent steady

Chorus *****
Before, you are wise; after, you are wise. In between you are otherwise.

I am listening to the U2 CD All You Can't Leave Behind

Kite
Something is about to give
I can feel it coming
I think I know what it means
I'm not afraid to die
I'm not afraid to live
And when I'm flat on my back
I hope to feel like I did

And hardness - it sets in
You need some protection
The thinner the skin

I want you to know
That you don't need me anymore
I want you to know
You don't need anyone or anything at all

Who's to say where the wind will take you
Who's to say what it is will break you
I don't know which way the wind will blow
Who's to know when the time has come around
Don't want to see you cry
I know that this is not goodbye

In summer I can taste the salty sea
There's a kite blowing out of control on a breeze
I wonder what's gonna happen to you
You wonder what has happened to me

I'm a man - I'm not a child
A man who sees the shadow behind your eyes

Who's to say where the wind will take you
Who's to say what it is will break you
I don't know where the wind will blow
Who's to know when the time has come around
I don't want to see you cry
I know that this is not goodbye

Did I waste it?
Not so much I couldn't taste it
Life should be fragrant
Rooftop to the basement
The last of the rock stars
When hip-hop drove the big cars
In the time when new media
Was the big idea
That was the big idea
