mmm....more live Dead - from Stanley Theatre, '77 - soundboard bootleg - it's awesome. Trying to figure out how to copy from tape to CD - any suggestions? Maybe I'll head over to Pelinblinks.... Cripple but free; I was blind all the time I was learning to see<i></i>

well, you wont believe this, but I managed to transfer the tape to cd, using only the windows sound recorder. For those who don't know, it only records 60 seconds of sound at a time, so I had to do about 90 really quick clicks on 'start recording' again to get a semi-continuous cd burn!!
It is good to hear, even if it has a few skips...my christmas list just grew to include software to accomplish this function...

I have been in a real Dead mood lately - go thru phases like this. Don't worry - the last one only lasted 2 years.... Cripple but free; I was blind all the time I was learning to see<i>Edited by: Earthblood at: 11/14/03 9:11 pm

Rasputina. A good band if you like classical/string music with an alt (Goth) bent. The female lead singer's voice is rather beautiful and tremulous as well. ________________

Tam and I were listening to Camel's Echoes ("Best of" double set) all weekend as we scraped and painted the bathroom--so intense, rocks so hard, fade to mellow, intricate, fantasy inspired, intelligent music. Every Fantasy fan needs this music in their house now! They were so far ahead of their time and Andy Latimer has to be one of the greatest guitarist of all time--like John Cippolina (of Quicksilver) one of the first true speed quitarists-Gilmore learned from this man! But nobody knows them. You can feel the influence of or their influence on all these bands: Allman Bros, Alan Parsons Project, Yes, Pink Floyd, Procul Harum, Supertramp, King Crimson, Doors, Genesis, Gentle Giant...the list goes on and on. I'm going to start a topic on Camel in Vespers at the Watch cause as a Rush fan and a bassist dAN must hear this group. *****

I need new horizons cause all I seem to listen to lately is Camel and Ottmer Liebert. If I didn't say so somewhere else b4 I just bought Ottmar's In the Arms of Love: lullabies for children and adults and listen to that along with Little Wing, Opium and Innamorare all the time! *****
