MNF result:
26 NYG 10 Hard to believe Giants were the division leader coming into this game--yes they do have boatloads of injuries, but Manning really looked like crap. Del Rio, however, looked pretty spiffy.

So we had a tiebreak between danlo and cali and cali edges me out by 1 stinkin' point!!!

final standings:
californiababy 11-5 (43) (tb)
danlo 11-5 (44) (tb)
Damelon 10-5
kinslaughterer 10-6
Mr Sunshine 10-6
A Gunslinger 9-7
dAN 9-7
clearfrontier 9-7
diamondraught 8-8
Jelerak 7-9

Wow! Damelon missed the MNF score by 1 point! *****

Everyone don't forget that there are Thursday games this week. (I just went out and got a bunch of chips and dips and salsas for the boys and made sure that Calibaby is stocked up on microbrew). The one game of the year the Lions usually do not completely humiliate themselves.

God, the Lions suck even more than usual this year!

And people wonder why the UM football team is worshipped in these parts.

Anyway all of you guys, have a GREAT THANKSGIVING this year, may you all have a wonderful holiday surrounded by loving friends and family and tons of good food and homemade pies.

Love to you all!

~ duchy (who will be spending the next couple of days happily baking - go ahead and have a cookie! )

Week 12
Thursday, November 23rd

games:
(am) Miami at Detroit
(pm) Tampa Bay at Dallas
(night) Denver at Kansas City (NFL Network)

Sunday, November 26th

early games:
Houston at NY Jets
Cincinnati at Cleveland
San Francisco at St. Louis
Arizona at Minnesota
Carolina at Washington
Pittsburgh at Baltimore
New Orleans at Atlanta
Jacksonville at Buffalo

afternoon games:
Oakland at San Diego
NY Giants at Tennessee
Chicago at New England

SNF:
Philadelphia at Indianapolis

MNF:
Green Bay at Seattle

my picks:
are hot, Kevin Jones is out...
I so don't want to pick Dallas, but boyz do well at Thanks, home and smelling blood after Giant's loss.
I'll probably reget this as KC actually has a running game and Broncs tend to stumble after a loss...Green is the big question mark.
first in a series of lack-luster games. Coles is returning to former self.
there's no stopping Chad right now.
Go Niners make the playoffs!!!
either way...Lienhart needs to prove something, Johnson needs to retire.
don't know if Delhomme can ever find himself, but the D's starting to really get it together.
only if Jamaal runs like he did last week.
Colston's loss was big and this is a toss up--I'll give levelheaded Brees the nod over frustrated Vick...(this and Chi/NE best game of the week)
D is getting wicked
well duh!
wouldn't be surprized if I lost this...if they throw to Shockey earlier they might squeak.
this game's too complex to pick Brady played well last week after stinkin' it up for awhile, homefield advantage. T. Jones about the only bright spot for da Bears offensively...I'll go with Jones, Gould, special teams and D.
not a good ideal to beat the Colts--Dallas loss is really going to solidify this team.
(17-13) Favre sit shaky (no backup), home and, somewhat, better D...

Is Danlo out of town for the holiday? Anyway, I kind of calculated the 'so far' stats, and here's what I came up with (this is unofficial, so if I messed up, ):

current standings:

clearfrontier 12-3
dAN 12-3
Jelerak 11-4
Mr Sunshine 11-4
A Gunslinger 10-5
californiababy 10-5
Damelon 10-5
Earthblood 10-5
kinslaughterer 10-5
diamondraught 8-7
danlo 8-7
Big Red Bulldog 2-1

If Seattle wins, then either Clear or I win. If Green Bay wins, either Jelerak, Sunshine, Clear, or I win, depending on the tiebreaker. With that in mind, I encourage Seattle (Shaun Alexander and Darrell Jackson, specifically) to score early and often! "But I didn't. I only knew that you'd know that I knew.
