Dang everybody's doin' pretty good if 6-3 is the lowest score-to some degree the Gaints/Eagles game seperated the leaders from the rest and kudos for Earthy as the only one who picked his hometown Bills!

early results:
with the upset Fins play like crap 16-6. My upset special blows up in my face 14 TB 3. Grossman 4 TDs 34 destroys kitties 7. Palmer over 300 34 Browns 17. Peyton Manning 400 yards 43 Hou 24. Wild game that goes into OT Ryan Longwell passes for a TD (really) and kicks the winning FG 16 Carolina 13. D awesome with a safety and other stuff 28 Faded 6. 34 GB 17. Finally the craziest game: despite the Eagles cruising with a whopping 8 sacks (losing Javon "the Freak" Kearse in the process) Eli passes for 375 yds 3 tds (2 two Toomer and one that bounces off Burress) 30 Phil 24 in OT.

current standings:
Damelon 8-1
diamondraught 8-1
dAMoMITE 7-2
californiababy 7-2
clearfrontier 7-2
hippigirl 7-2
robandkim 7-2
jelerak 7-2
Earthblood 6-3
Reaper 6-3
danlo 6-3
kinslaughterer 6-3
Mr. Sunshine 6-3 *****

I think Earthy deserves the award for against the grain picks-like the Bills he was only one (of two) who picked San Fran: the major upset of the afternoon.

afternoon results:
20 Bryant many yards Rams 13. win a really funky looking game in OT 9-6 over KC. 24 Jets 17. LT 2 TDs and he wasn't even the top rusher! SD40 Tenn 17. 21 AZ 10.

current standings:
Is it beginner's luck or do robandkim really know their stuff? As they go a perfect 5-0
robandkim 12-2
Damelon 12-2
dANoMITE 11-3
hippigirl 11-3
clearfrontier 11-3
jelerak 11-3
diamondraught 11-3
Earthblood 10-4
kinslaughterer 10-4
danlo 10-4
Mr. Sunshine 10-4
Reaper 8-6

ay folks!!! To be 10-4 and out of contention really SUCKS!!!! *****

late result:
27 Wash 10

current standings:
robandkim 13-2
dANoMITE 12-3
diamondraught 12-3
clearfrontier 12-3
Damelon 12-3
danlo 11-4
jelerak 11-4
hippigirl 11-4
Earthblood 11-4
californiababy 11-4
Mr. Sunshine 11-4
kinslaughterer 10-5
Reaper 9-6

If Jax wins we'll have another 3 way tiebreak between robandkim, dAN and Damelon, if Pitts wins robandkim win outright.

Monday morning edit: robandkim is/are agunslinger

Week Three
Kansas City, Oakland, San Diego & Dallas have a bye week, so just 14 games

Sunday, September 24th
early games:
Chicago at Minnesota
Green Bay at Detriot
Tennessee at Miami
Jets at Buffalo
Washington at Houston
Cincinnati at Pittsburg
Jacksonville at Indianapolis
Carolina at Tampa Bay

afternoon games:
Balitmore at Cleveland
Gaints at Seattle
St. Louis at Arizona
Philadelphia at San Francisco

SNF:
Denver at New England

MNF:
Atlanta at New Orleans

my picks
damm! this already looks like the toughest week, so far, to pick-oh well, here goes-
Chicago
Green Bay-one of the few games Favre can win
Miami--last chance I can give Culpepper
Buffalo-like Chicago' D makes it happen
Washington
Cincinnati's on a roll
Indianapolis-Peyton, barely, gets it done
Carolina-does it all, really, boil down to Smith's health?
Baltimore-get 'em while you can Air
Seattle-too evenly matched, home + Alexander
Arizona
Philadelphia-losing Kearse hurts but they'll be pissed
Denver-one of these days Plummer and Walker are going to click--very tough decision
New Orleans-may very well change-it's all up to Bush and Brees--insanely tough call Atlanta's D & rush is a force to be reckoned with NO 31 Atl 27 (56pts)

I switched to Washington simply because Portis may start. This is a make or break week in a lot of ways: Portis, Culpepper, Kitna, Favre, Delhomme, Frye, Cadillac Williams, Simms and Plummer have to prove they can still play. Of all these players Portis may be the most successful, if not Washington may be doomed. The Tampa Bay/Carolina game may be the most important in this regard. Who is the Panthers RB? DeShawn Foster? Well he isn't doing so great-Delhomme and Williams showed some signs of life last week but Simms is disgusting-what is it? 6 ints and 0 TDs. Damm!

Newsflash: Atlanta just signed 46 year old Morten Anderson as their kicker.
