Ya, I hear you about the continuing ed. I have to do 40 hours a year for my job and 20 for my national certification!

I was in bed most of the day today and burned through an entire book by Dan Simmons! It's called the Song of Kali and was very intense and very creepy!
next I think I'm going to read Kiln People by David Brin. Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell

I'm reading the Hound and the Falcon, by Judith Tarr. It's now on my favorites list. Nikki and his kitten are adorable! I'm on the third and last book of the, well, book. If I had a social life, you'd all be dead.

tenetty--Welcome! PLEASE feel free 2 start a Guy Gavriel Kay topic in this forum--I've asked 2 people 2 start 1, but it hasn't happened yet. I haven't read him but I really want 2... And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.

Ahira, Ahira, he called out silently to the sky. Ahira, Ahira

While on vacation my younger son read the Chonicles of Narnia twice and my older son started reading the Great Book of Amber. We had reserved two copies of Harry Potter 5 at Borders (at 40% off each), told them we would pick them up yesterday since we would be out of town for the weekend, but they sold them on us anyway! :"> They had no copies left i nthe store!:"> They are supposed to get more in today and will supposedly still give us the pre-ordering discount. If so, I am certain both of my boys will be very busy reading Harry for the next few days! Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell

I'm reading Wheel of Time atm, and just started book four, The Shadow Rising, today. A long book, but after the first three, I can't resist.

Klessin, I love that trilogy by Kay. And Ms Mary, I love the Riddlemaster of Hed trilogy!

I just finished Harry Potter 5. Borders never did get our preorder straightened out, I got them at the warehouse club for $15.00. So in the end, I guess I got the better deal, after all!

I am about to start reading A Night in the Lonesome October by Roger Zelazny, an out of print book I ordered from the internet. It was very highly recommended to me, and I am looking very much forward to reading it!
