Truth be known,I have to agree with Av on this one there really isn't a drug that extends lifespans and causes spontaneous orgies to take place either.Sure we could mix 'shrooms and what-not but it still isn't it. Sure,the buzz might be a wild ride,but not everyone is going to kill each other over it,oil yes,not anything else here on this planet. <i></i>

First I must apologise to Duchess, in another thread about the roots of the Fremen I disagreed with her about them being ZenSunni. But, reading Emperor last night, I did see a reference to "the ZenSunni wanderers from which the Fremen had sprung."

As for Osama as Maud'dib...wow...great insight. And yeah, more than ever I see the spice as the equivalent of, if not a metaphor for, oil.
