It's been chilly here lately, I've been wearing hoodies the last couple of days. Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell

Happy New Year! And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.

It turns out that this coming Saturday my children do not have a sporting event...and my husband has sworn to me that he will take the day off.
It will be the first day the four of us have had together without work or sports since we went to Chicago last summer.
I hope we can go to a cider mill and get some cider and donuts and pumpkins. It would be fun to go camping, but the high temps this week will be in the 50's and lows some nights in the 30's, so its a bit on the chilly side...in fact its supposed to snow tonight in some parts of the state (but only rain here). Jam and I are going camping in the Jemez on the 6th and I really hope the ol' airmatress don't have no holes in it.

(last hummers of the season here...) And now Danlo looked in that direction, too. He remembered that snowy owls mate in the darkest part of deep winter, and so along with this beautiful white bird perched in a tree a hundred feet away, he turned to face the sea as he watched and waited.

That sounds wonderful Danlo! Wish Max and I could tag along.
My husband reports that it was sleeting during my son's soccer game last night! Maybe I should be grateful that I had to work during this particular game.
He gets to play again today and again tomorrow -- three games in three days! Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell

The weather man is calling for snow here tonite.....
It is about time for cider & donuts, isn't it Duchess?
I always love fall. Driving to work this mornig, (I travel thru some beautiful farmland to get to work) I was at the top of the local hill (highest elevation around) and it was clear as you could ask for - I could see the skyline of Buffalo, with the sun shinig on the roof tops and off glass of the buildings. It was quite a view....it's about 25 miles, and you can see the lake too, and even part of the Canadian shoreline.

It was pouring when I was driving to work this afternoon...when I called home to see how my family was, Calibaby told me that Bigred had gotten coated in mud while playing soccer, and it was so cold the mud froze to him...my hub brought him home and threw him right into a hot shower and made him eat some hot soup as soon as he got out...

We're supposed to get snow showers tonight, but no sign of them yet. Our lives are the songs that sing the universe into existence.~David Zindell
