For a second there, I couldn't figure out why an insurance agent was involved...

Yeah, keep us posted! :)

I spent a lovely hour or so today lying on various mattresses at IKEA. (Tossed the 15-year-old mattress set when I moved. Since then I've been using one of the kids' twin-size mattresses on the floor. It's okay, but it's not anything I want to do long-term.) Anyhow, I kept trying to talk myself into the "firm" and "extra firm" ones they recommend for side sleepers and going "meh". Then I found one that wasn't on my list of recommendations and went "oh baby!" So I'm going to get that one. :) Now I just have to wait 'til Magickmaker gets home from school (which is tomorrow!) so I can drag her with me to wrestle it onto the top of the car. She's been forewarned and said she was okay with it, but I expect I'll have to buy her something in "payment". ;) I'm going to suggest to her that we get a pillowtop for her mattress here at home.

Nice day's climbing. Feeling pretty wiped out. Early night for me I think.

water update: most of the water lines in the house are working OK now. The dishwasher is still outputting a bit of sand with the water, as is the upstairs shower. The kitchen sink and upstairs bathroom sink are still completely waterless due to sand blockages. Downstairs shower and sink, both toilets, and washing machine are all fine. :)

The CPAP: two night ago I finally made it through an entire night wearing the mask. Last night I woke up again in the wee hours and had to take it off. I think the key might be taking an over the counter pain med before bed, so it does not hurt my nose so much. Will pop a tylenol before bed tonight and see if I can make it through the night again.

I do not feel much better yet, but my husband says I visibly have more energy. He says I have gone from a minus 250 to a minus 180 on the energy scale.

So no one has seen Moonwatcher lately? :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I hope Moonwatcher is OK. I spent 8 hours working on my backyard yesterday, mostly pulling weeds out of my xericape rock with my bare hands, was wiped out and had chills this morning probably due to too much sun exposure. I'm off to teach my class and will, probably, watch Iron Man 2 tomorrow. Watching game one of the Suns/Lakers series tonight so that will see me through, a bit. Tam and Grace have been in Bozeman, Montana since Thursday, visiting Auntie Katie, and return Wednesday afternoon, I missed them horribly this morning.

Me too. It's just weird for him to be gone for so long.

Danlo, what class are you teaching? I missed this somehow...

I teach English as a second language for 2 hours twice a week in exchange for my daughter being enrolled in an Even Start preschool program-the final class is tomorrow and Grace's graduation party is Friday. I even went to an impromptu parents meeting 2 weeks and walked out as the President of her elementary school's PTA  (there was no PTA 2 years ago, only 3 members last year and now I've raised the number up to 9) I'm already making it happen.

Oh fine, I'll double post.

Magickmaker and I drove down to IKEA today and bought a mattress and foundation for me, and a pillowtop (for the daybed mattress) and a bookcase for her. We had a lovely time (oh haha) bringing everything in and setting it all up. And then Magickmaker unpacked all her books and stowed them in the new bookcase, and then got tired and quit. She still needs to put her clothes away in her dresser. Then it might be close to a liveable space in here again.

The jury is still out on my bed 'til I've slept in it, which I'll do tonight, of course. But I think it's going to be quite comfy. If that's not enough, I then went to Target and got a storage ottoman that they had on sale. And I ordered a loveseat that allegedly comes in two boxes via UPS -- stay tuned on how well *that* works. I've still got to put up pictures in there, and maybe shove some more stuff under the bed and out of the way ;). But we now have pretty much a full complement of furniture, which is pretty darned exciting!

Nothing exciting in my life right now...'bout the most news is that I'm getting...an assistant...or something at work. Been interviewing people...I think I hate interviewing people almost as much as I hate actually going to interviews.
