At this very moment, Beorn is filling out an online application with the county government for a library page position. This is a regular, ongoing 20 hour a week part time government position. Should he land it, and passes probation, it is a position he can keep working at through high school graduation and should he choose to apply for and gets accepted to UF, throughout at least his undergraduate career.

Good vibes, please everybody!

Cool, a sleep lab! I'm sure I could get a good night's sleep there. Heckuva lot quieter than an apartment in the middle of downtown!

Anyway, good luck, duchess, and sweet dreams!

I've been feeling the need for a couple extra hours myself recently. :D

Didn't go well last night. As far as I know I never was able to go to sleep, though hopefully I might have dozed off a couple of times. They said that they might have gotten some decent data even if I never hit a sound sleep, as they were studying my sleep to try to find out why I am exhausted all of the time. Not being able to sleep well could obviously be a part of that. It was very quiet and dark, and everyone there was very kind. They various sensors (on legs, shoulder blades, finger, neck, chin, face, scalp, and legs) were not too bad - even the ones up my nose. Though I was trailing a spaghetti mess wires behind me like the back of a PC and had to be unhooked to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Thankfully today is my day off work, or I would have to call in as I am too tired to function. Heck, hopefully I can get in there tomorrow.

They had told me on the phone that I would not need a driver, and that most people get up, take a shower, and go to work. And I saw other patients doing just that - emerging from their rooms, looking fine, and driving themselves off. My husband was good enough to drop me off and pick me up. I guess I was in bad shape in the morning when they came to unhook me, because the technician looked at me and one of the first things out of his mouth was 'Do you have a driver??'.

Yeah, I conveniently forgot about all the sensors they put on the subjects --er, sleepers. :P
Hope they at least obtained some useful data, as you said.
And better luck tomorrow night if you're going there again.

I do wonder sometimes if I'm compromising my health whenever I stay up late.
On the other hand, I don't think I have trouble sleeping.
I often get vivid dreams, so that's a good sign I'm getting deep sleep.

See, I hardly ever dream, or at least I hardly ever remember having any dreams. The technician told me that is a possible sign that I do not get enough REM sleep, and that if they can fix whatever is wrong, I will probably dream all the time, very vividly, to make up for years of lost dreams. He said patients either love it or loathe it.

I don't dream myself. Don't even wake up with the sensation of having dreamed. I fall asleep, and I wake up, and it's as though no time had passed. (The GF tells me though that I move around a lot in my sleep. *shrug* )

I remember dreams sometimes, tho I can't think of any I've had lately. I was keeping a dream journal for awhile.

You may not remember or know that you are dreaming when you sleep, but everyone dreams.
