Furls is going under the knife so soon? Yikes. Got my fingers crossed for her...

Does danlo's computer crash on a regular schedule? Can we track its periodicity on the Mayan calendar, maybe?

(Periodicity is my new favorite word of the week.)

Did you read my link to Fist's post, neo?
She was on the table this morning.
Last we heard, her lung collapsed (she only has one lung), her heart had to be restarted, and she's in CCU in critical but stable condition.
This was several hours ago, before we left to celebrate Beorn's birthday with Hyperception's father-in-law. I'll be going back to the Watch soon to see if there have been any more updates since then...

I'm tired and frustrated. For those who haven't checked the Watch lately I've been in the slow process of recovering from a pinched nerve in my neck. It really IS a pain in the neck called something like the brachial patella-amazing how one tiny little nerve can cause neck pain and muscle flare-ups up to the ear, across the pecs and into the shoulder. I thought I was fairly recovered today and then I had to strain while driving to see another car and had a relapse. Hopefully this won't last that long, not as serious as before, but still a drag. Maybe this will give me to op to finally finish Ilium-only about 3 chapts left.

I also got Elora Grace into a free title 1 early beginnings preschool in return I'm a ESL tutor two times a week and a day care provider for 2hrs 2 days a week-and I actually get paid for doing the daycare. :shock:

I went to the ESL orientation yesterday and registered Grace today. I need to lie down, read and take a nap. :faint:

Feel better, danlo!

Drove Magickmaker back to school last night after her dr. appointment. We didn't get on the road 'til 10:30pm, so didn't get there 'til 1:30pm. Needless to say, I slept in her dorm room last night... Got up at 7:30am today to drive back. Bypassed the house and drove straight to work, so a four-hour drive. I am pretty darned tired right now. And I've got another hour here before I can go home...

All sorts of other crap happened in the mean time yesterday: the front right brake on our car started to go and the tube on the the old huge Zenith in our living room blew-to top that all off Tam sprained her knee at work and had to file for workers comp. Hopefully she'll be OK when she goes back after Labor Day.

Fear not-all is not lost-I awoke with with much less pain and got the front brakes fixed for a marked low price than I figured, $170 then I switched the little office TV with the Zenith so we can record shows and movies. Guess DVDs are o/o the question until we can afford a big one. I'm going to check Rent-A-Center to see if we can have one until we can afford one. Hear's hoping on winning Powerball tonight...(finally finished Ilium! :sky:

Crazy stuff, danlo...I thought summer was supposed to be a time to, um, kick back and relax! Hope the rest of your Labour Day weekend is stress free. That goes for everyone.

I'm fixed!!! I was in horrible pain and up all Monday night. Saw the Dr. yesterday and I don't have a pinched nerve or an abscess. All the pressure and pain was from my right eustachian tube: my ear was totally blocked and my tube was inflammed and infected. So now I'm taking antibiotics and dissolving the ear wax and I feel wonderful! Had a fabulous sleep last night. Man what a relief-this was going on for two months and at one point the pressure on my neck was so bad I thought I might have throat cancer-halle-f***ing-llulah! :sky:
