Glad to hear it, duchess!

Yeah, I could use some time off myself. It has been "March Madness" at work: Sport Manitoba's lease on its current location expires this year, so we are in the process of moving out - or some of us, anyway (that's another long story). But this is only an interim move to a temporary location, as our new building isn't ready for occupancy. In December, we have to pack up all over again to the new digs. We've been at our present building for 19 years, so it'll be quite a change for us.

Good news about your health issues, Duchess! (Psst, you can squeak by with taking Synthroid just a half-hour before breakfast. )

Moonwatcher: Office moves, ugh. Dunno which is worse, packing up your house or packing up your workspace. Good luck...

Thanks, ali. I won't be going until the final move in December. I kinda feel sorry for the staff who've had to go to the temporary office building - space is much more cramped there. The toilets on the floors we rented apparently had not been used for 20 years (I think they only got them running again on the weekend) - and the washroom doorways are hilariously narrow. I also heard today that it was pretty hot and stuffy in there - hopefully they got ahold of the landlord to turn the air conditioning on.

I'm glad I'm staying where I am.

Moving sucks - especially if there are no working bathrooms.

The doctor's visit with the endocrinologist went well yesterday - I do not have to see them again until June, though I do have to go in for blood tests in the meantime.

The most interesting - er, make that dumbest - thing I did today was leave my eyeglasses at work. Didn't realize it until I came home from shopping just a few minutes ago and had taken off my contacts. So I'll be squinting my way through the rest of the night, like I'm doing now as I type this. Heh. Bad eyesight sucks.

Oh, and more on the continuing saga of our interim move: I've been volunteered to play daily courier, bringing mail to our staff at the temporary location. It's really a short walk, but having to do it today in a blizzard didn't put me in a very pleasant mood. Bad weather sucks.

Not doing anything interesting these days. Going to PT, doing my exercises, and doing a combination of volunteer work and fun stuff on the computer.

And getting ready for Passover.

Fun stuff is mostly checking forums and Facebook and playing games.

Most rewarding thing I did was clean my bathroom, install a new shower curtain as well as a new showerhead, and then of course, take a shower. That felt good. Yes, it's all about the simple pleasures.

Got a haircut after work today. I was starting to get a little shaggy. But now my hair is all ready for the long weekend. Whatever that means.

Also picked up a bottle of contact lens solution. It was in a new style of bottle, but it gave you less: 105 ml, instead of the old bottle which gave 120 ml. For something like contact lens fluid where every drop counts, that 15 ml is a big deal. The box proudly proclaimed: "New packaging! Same great product!" Yeah, sure. It ought to say: "Pay the same, now get less value for your money!"
