Yeah, it was like that at the soccer field at the Manitoba Games, too. I was glad my "mentor" there decided not to stick around and led us instead to the swimming event, which thankfully had a lot of shade.

Today I finally taught myself to juggle 3 balls. I've known the principle and technique for years, but today was the first time I ever introduced the 3rd ball, and within an hour I could do it competently.

Well done with the juggling Avatar (cant do it myself) as for me today I spent morning recovering from a baby hangover from last night as we are moving house next week and had friends over for the last supper , then I sat down and wrote my dissection for KW and after that a 3 hour mountain bike ride through the british countryside. now its time to have a siesta

Cleburne, it's nice to have a newcomer like yourself contributing to the KW dissections. Just glad the rest of us aren't required to do a 3 hour mountain bike trek afterwards!

The weather was beautiful today, so I spent most of it outside.

Another awful week at work.

Ah well, only one more night and I will be free for three blessed days.

I got "The Wild" in the mail today. I did NOT realize that the amazon seller was in England!

This weekend is full up with moving to another place 40 miles south of where Im living at the moment which is going to be busy its amazing how much rubbish you build up over time The biggest promblem I have is that the exhaust of my van fell of yesterday on the way to work and I have to try and get it fixed

Oh -- moving SUCKS.

The stress at work over the last couple of weeks has done its normal thing to me, and sure looks like this will be day two of bouncing back and forth between bed and the bathroom. I was really hoping to go grocery shopping today, too.

I hope it will be better tomorrow, as we were planning to go to tomorrow. The kids want to go to the outlet mall for back to school shopping (they always love the Adidas and Nike Outlets) - and there is an A&W by the outlet mall, and I have been promised a frosty mug of root beer. And in Frankenmuth itself there is the world's biggest Christmas store, which is always both fun and overwhelming to visit, and great German restaurants like the Bavarian Inn for dinner.

I think I will have to cuddle with the cats a lot today. Their purring is the most relaxing thing in the world.

After being sick the last two days, I was not feeling up to going north today. So we did the back to school shopping thing at stores in Ann Arbor. We have all been trying to rest and destress today.

This weekend has been hot and humid - Sunday was especially bad. But I did manage to head out with my camera in the morning when it was cooler.

Have been watching hurricane coverage on the news this morning - I am so glad that the levees have not been breached this time around!

Will be heading in to work later. We will be short staffed, so hopefuly it will be quiet tonight.

Sat in front of the TV most of the day watching tennis. Only ran out to get some groceries. No outdoor activities for me today, due to thundershowers. It got really dark - had the lights on at noon. Makes me wonder if this weather is a byproduct of the presence of Hurricane Gustav all the way down there.

Anything is possible with these monster storms. A lot of times the hurricanes that hit Louisiana or Texas will follow the Mississippi River system up and nuke us with rain up aound here.

I think the hardest rain I have ever experienced in my life was just such a hurricane remnant about 18-20 years ago over in Ontario. We were trapped inside the KMart in Stratford, Ontario, for quite sometime while waiting for the rain to lessen.

Both kids are back into the full swing of school this week! YAY!

Younger son is a sophomore in high school, older son is attending Eastern Michigan University this fall.
