Started playing the new RPG on the Watch which is being run by Sylvanus.
I have no idea where I'm going with this, but it will give me practice writing.
(I hate composition)

...and it's fun guessing who the other players are as they each announce their characters...

Went in to get my eyes checked today for new glasses. I ordered purple frames for this next time around.

...which reminds me that I should book an appointment soon for my contact lens check-up.

Today, I did some apartment cleaning. Then I headed out to the mall, where I decided on the spot to go see the new Mummy movie. It turned out to be pretty enjoyable even without Rachel Weisz, though I still missed her plenty. (I'll have more to say in the Manifold.)

About to head out to a park near Tecumseh with a Jeepload of teen aged boys. There is mini-golf and a swimming hole and other stuff in the park.

God give me energy today...

Haha, I love mini-golf...it's the only kind of golf I'm any good at. I couldn't drive a ball in "real" golf if my life depended on it. Okay, I might hit the ball but it would go maybe 5 feet. Good luck with your boys!

It's supposed to be a hot one today, so I'm taking it easy. Might head out to the mall and a movie for some air-conditioned bliss.

Today Beorn is working his first set of community service hours. He chose to volunteer at the library. Since his asperger's is so mild, I chose to not mention it on his volunteer form, as they don't specifically ask anything of that nature; but I did choose to remain here at the library in case anything came up. It doesn't hurt that there is free internet access here, and I am still accessless at home.

He worked for three and a half hours, and no complaints from anyone.

Time to take him home, and give my well deserving lad some lunch...

The park turned out to be a privately owned campground near Ridgeway, on the way to Tecumseh. Some people in a business network with my husband had set up a potluck lunch and barbecue there this afternoon. There was both a swimming hole and a swimming pool, mini-golf, rock climbing towers, hiking trails, and a llama farm!   The swimming hole was a pond filled with pan fish (bluegills and the like) and had hundreds of dragonflies flittering around. 8) Lots of blue ones, and a few that were either red or orange. Some were as big as hummingbirds! I tried to take some pictures of the dragonflies and the llamas, and I will see later if any of the shots turned out. :)

A friend of my kids is here for the weekend, so I have been hauling the three of them around all over the place for the past two days... :)

Menolly, is the community service a requirement for graduation? My kids have always tutored other kids and done things like being refs for small children's sports to meet that...the library would be a pleasant way to meet that. 8)

Mini-golf is the only golf I do. My husband tried to teach me to golf a few times, but he golfs left handed (he is ambidextrous, but golfs left) and I am right handed so we ended up getting vey frustrated with each other. It is OK though, because the kids are short and can use my clubs. They go out to par three courses every once in a while. :)
