I swear constantly when I talk. :D Don't even notice it. Doesn't affect my writing at all though.

Felling lonely for my girls, happy, slightly disillusioned and very glad to have my trusty furballs at my side: Sam and Jojo. Tomorrow night the girlies return! :sky: Enjoying my freshly sodded lawn that the stupid Qwest contractor paid for, as well he should. Enjoying my driveway without a massive storage unit sitting in it for a month. Enjoying the fact that all the tile work, except for the fridge recess and grouting, is done. Not enjoying the clutter of furniture in the living room and not being able to access the big TV. I should be reading and the hell with TV.

Disillussioned because the hippee-wannabees at the local coffee house were talking peace, justice, karma, slavery and diminishment to the ego and they were so close, yet so off...well maybe closer than off, but not by much-the were also talking about judging, but there they were judging an obnoxious yuppie talking on two cell phones with the speakers on and driving a king cab truck. Now here I am juding their judging... :P  life goes on...

(to see my other disillusionment go to Current Affairs  )

About three months ago I had to do to the ER because I was having bloody diarrhea (I think there are some posts somewhere around on that less than charming subject).

Well, after a month of so of eating the blandest most boring food imaginable, the diarrhea went away - but I have had rectal bleeding nearly every day since that bad evening in March.

The docs have not been able to figure out why - my latest visit was this afternoon before work (and I really wish they would stop taking my blood to see if I am anemic - they are vampires! :vamp: ).

But today I got the bad news that I will have to go in for a butt scope after all.

About to head out to eat dinner at Cheli's Chili Bar (owned by one of the Detroit Red Wings) then see the Detroit Tigers play against the Colorado Rockies at CoPa. :) There is supposed to be some more severe thundertsorms rumbling through the area this evening (after having them on Thursday, Friday, and this morning), so I'm not sure if they can even get in a complete baseball game, though. :?

Verlander is pitching, and I am wearing my Verlander shirt. 8) May it bring him luck! :D

Had a colonoscopy two months ago (I'm now in that age bracket, sadly!) it's really not that bad an ordeal, so hope everything goes ok with you duchess.
I went to the Rabbitohs shop two weeks ago as they had a sale on (the Rabbitohs being my favourite rugby league team) and came out 20 minutes later and $400 poorer, but with tons and tons of stuff. I now realise that I could conceivably spend the rest of my days wearing nothing but Rabbitohs clothes; I bought enough t shirts, coats, hats and tracksuits that it's a definite possibility!
Go you Rabbits!

The game last night was fun; the Tigers managed to win right at the last possible moment. :) I was sitting behind a three generation family, half of them dressed in Tigers gear and half of them in Rockies gear. Turned out that they were Tigers fans, but one of the adult sons works for the Rockies. He was one of the group and was wearing a Rockies championship ring from last year. I have never seen such a huge hunk of precious metals and diamonds on the hand of a human being before.

The rain held off until nearly the end of the game, and they even had the scheduled fireworks at the end of the game. 8)

Today the most interesting thing (so far) was having a huge truck from the power company turn into my driveway, and the workers come pound on my door. Apparently we are one of the only homes in the area that still has power after all of the storms we've been having the past few days.   They were checking to make sure we were OK.

I cannot even express how glad I am that we do have power. :sky: :sky: :sky: Since we have a well whenever the power goes out we have no running water. Since we have an electric stove, we cannot cook, either. :(

How about the most un-interesting thing I've done (so far)? Coming to work on the day before Canada Day. This year July 1st falls on a Tuesday, so we couldn't get a long weekend. Oh, well. It's a quiet day here, as a lot of staff probably won't be coming in anyway. The main receptionist didn't, which is why I'm at the desk, heh.

This year our holiday falls on a Friday, which is my normal day off. Since I am scheduled to work forty hours in a holiday week, I will get double time for one of the other days. :o Your tax dollars at work...

I just got off the phone with one of the interns at the local radio station I listen to. Turns out I won a in their latest loyal listener contest.

I admit, the receiver doesn't look all that tech, but I don't know much about HD Radio. And heck, it's free. So I guess I'll find out.

Yay!
