Hard to believe on a snowy weekend with 45MPH winds and a -25 degree windchill that spring training starts this coming week! :shock:

Nevertheless, spring is coming, and the pitchers and catchers will be reporting to training camp next week.

Lots of questions about the Tigers starting pitchers this year. Will Bonderman and Rogers be over their injuries?

Will Willis be able to overcome a subpar year on his old team last year?

Will Robertson still suck? :razz:

Will Verlander still kick serious ass? :twisted:

Ah, we Detroiters dream of Florida and Lakeland at this time of year. Anything seems possible...sunshine, going outside without a parka, playing baseball outside... :lol:

Tigers tickets go on sale for individual games on March 1 - and the whole season is expected to be sold out by the end of the month. :shock:

So who knows if we will be able to go to any games this season...we might have to go to another city to see our team play. :shock:

It was really funny on Fantasy Fanatics the other day: one of my friends' who was trying to write a serious article on starting pitchers, said, "Sorry, I tried to follow it but I guess I have to admit I'm not that well versed on Texas and their ace." To which many replied, "Don't worry, there's nothing there. Millwood's the best and he really sucks." :stooges:

Heh. Tons of snow on the ground, but individual games Tigers tickets went on sale today. I was online and on their site a couple of minutes before they went on sale, and was shunted to a virtual online waiting area for nearly an hour.

Finally made it through, and got tickets to three games - the Rockies (which means I will give up the long weekend I had requested from work to go to the Taste of Chicago in June), the stinking White Sox (but it is Negro League weekend, which is always one of the highlights of the summer), and Tampa Bay in the last home stand of the season.

Tickets for my famiily of four to see the three games? More than $500 on my Visa. :faint:

(Danlo, I tried to get tickets to an Angels game, but that one was already sold out :faint:

).

They were saying that the whole season will be sold out by the end of March - I am thinking that it will be sold out in less than a week from now - and might even be sold out by the end of today! :faint:

No wonder I was in that virtual waiting room so long yesterday - it turns out that the Tigers sold 80,000 tickets in the first two hours they were on sale yesterday, and more than 150,000 tickets for the day. :shock:

That's a lot of tickets. :shock:

Detroit is a very hot ticket this year.

I have my draft coming up on the 12th with the Fantasy Fanatic boys (two experts in it too), and aside from about 8-14 players in mind I have no clue as to what I'm doing... :roll:
