Yea! Earthy's back! Hey man I know how you feel-I lost my Mom in late march to the same thing.
Just got the notification that Elora's official writ of adoption hearing is scheduled for Sept. 12th it will be
such a huge relief when this finally happens. We've waited way, way too long and after having to give the boys back I won't believe it till I see it.
It's also come to my attention that not everyone at the Hangar knows about our newer foster child. His name is Hayden (2 and a half) he's very cute and smart-has a huge vocabulary, knows his colors, ABCs and can count to ten-heck Elora can't even talk yet and she's only 2 months younger. I have to watch him 24/7 as he had a stroke due to abuse and has left side balance problems and partial blindness in his left eye we're on the lookout for seizures but, thankfully, they haven't occured. His balance is improving in leaps and bounds but his vision problems continue-he also has a habit of repeating himself, but this is improving by the use of "quiet time" and Speech Therapy. We've had him for 3 weeks and we know we have to give him back to the extended family in 2 to 4 months.
It is so much work that we don't think we can to this again. However, we're still holding out for a boy in the future, just no more special needs kids-you end up loving them too much and they take too much out of you.
Football season is coming up real soon-we need Earthy and everyone else to sign up for our fifth annual Picks Game in The Ice Dome-hey we've already got a new player-that wily Menolly!
oops! This reminds me that I have to work on canceling my jury duty that begins 9-7
