Too bad the Tigers lost-looked like a great game until the 7th inning...

Yeah - even though Verlander had a rough game (for him - a lot of pitchers would love to have a game like that one one for of their good days) - the Tiggies were winning up until he left the game.

We have a lot of injuries in our bull pen right now, and our pathetic remaining relief pitchers are losing quite a few games for us.

Grilli sucks as a pircher, but it was still horrifying to see him down on the ground curled up in a fetal position, after he got hit by that pitch in the knee. Loses the game for us, and gets injured on top of it... It was adding injury to insult.

But we still had fun, and dinner in Greektown followed by Cold Stone Creamery ice cream was great.

Today the weather is actually nice. Mr. Sunshine and I are about to go out and work in the garden for the rest of the afternoon. I will be planting flowers and rose bushes and butterfly bushes, and he will be planting citronella plants.

Heh. Tigers relief pitching would probably make a great topic down in the horror forum.

Having a productive afternoon out in the new flower bed. We planted some pink lilies (just because they are pretty and smell so nice), some red day lillies (those bring hummingbirds to your yard ), a lavender butterfly bush (brings butterflies to your yard), and four deer magnets - two red rose bushes and two pink rose bushes. I'm not even sure why I bother with roses anymore, as the deer always eat them, but the roses are so pretty so I always hope that this particular bush will be the one the deer will leave alone...

Now it is time for a break and a shower.

You know, after years of trying to promote the Hangar, and have it coursing through my blood I was ready to give it up. Was it during the move or not? Was it due to malfunctions or hacks? Did it have to do with losing the boys and then my Mom...that's all irrelevant now-our new moderator and everyone here's re-energized me-If I didn't move forward my Mom would kick my ass!
