Well, I've just finished Tehanu so I'll throw in my I felt distressed for Ged initially, but very content by the end of it. Coming to terms with the fact that you're no longer a wizard was described with painful precision (coming to terms with the loss of your life's gift I suppose). But, he got the girl, and he longed for the quiet life on Gont, and he still knew how to use a pitchfork. I enjoyed this book very much. |

Did I never post in this thread? This is my favourite of the EarthSea Quartet. Without doubt. Also. I think, the darkest of them. Ged's story, and the story of the girl, both exert a great emotional effect. --A |
