The man Who Risked His Partner is the second in Donaldson's mystery series.
This book begins a few months after The Man Who Shot his Brother, with the two main characters, Mick Axbrewder and Ginny Fistoulari, trying to deal with the aftermath and life changes that came about because of the events in the first story.
They take on a case where it appears that the man they are working for is not telling them the truth. He says that someone is trying to kill him, which appears to be the truth, yet who and why seems to be a big question, as this slimey guy keeps changing his story.
Also, a child whom Brew knows has vanished. Brew secretly (from Ginny) decides to find out what has happened to the child.
Both cases might possibly have something to do with the big kingpin of crime in Albuquerque (er... Puerto del Sol )...the very evil El Senor, whom we met briefly in the first book... ******************************************************
