Linden returns to a very dark Revelstone, followed by Stave and the Humbled, and the memory of the Mahdoubt's madness. 
She offers to heal the haruchai from their hurts from their fight with the Harrow.
Linden, who so often ignored one of the fundamanetal ethics of medicine when she was whole of heart - that a sane adult patient who is able to communicate has the right to refuse treatment - is now following that ethic, now that her heart is dead.
That ethic is important because people have free will and a right to self determination. They also have a right to keep their bodies to themselves, unless others might be harmed (such as carrying around a potentially fatal communicative disease).
So when Linden healed Pitchwife and twice Stave without their consent, she violated their free will and their bodies, even if she was trying to help them.
At some point since Runes, Linden has decided to follow -or has learned - the importance of this ethic.
So instead of forcing the healing upon the bodies of the injured haruchai, she offers it.
Stave accepts, and the others watch in contempt.
Linden then asks to go to the Hall of Gifts. Her crippled emotions tell her that she has failed the Mahdoubt (even though the Mahdoubt freely gave Linden her name and the ability to compel her, so Linden is wrong in this) and she wishes to visit and honor older hurts - in particular, the cairn of Grimmand Honninscrave. Linden cannot help but think that what happened to the Mahdoubt is all her fault - the crippling self doubt and twisted self worth and sense of responsibility caused by years of emotional abuse by her parents has overtaken Linden. The darkness of her parents has come springing to life in answer to her life's worse crisis.
Linden walks through the Hall and remembers all of the people of the Land she has known and loved before - particularly the Giants and Sunder and Hollian. She remembers Nom, the Sand Gorgon, and how he had rent the Raver.
Linden tells Stave that Roger, the croyal, and even Esmer all dread her going to Andelain to find Loric's krill....
Linden and Stave speak of Jeremiah and whether he still has the right to choose to be himself. And we discover that Stave left his own sons behind when he left the haruchai. 
Linden goes back to her friends. She tells Liand some of the uses of his orcrest stone. He will be able to cleanse the party from Kevin's Dirt. He will be able to do spiritual healing. He might even be able to change the weather.
And then they attempt to leave Revelstone, but the Masters will not let them.
Stave and Martiir challenge the Masters in two ways. the Masters accept the challenges - first Stave's offer to fight and defeat the Humbled, then Martiir's offer to call the Ranyhyn to see if and how many come.
Stave manages to defeat the still injures Humbled. **Ten** Ranyhyn come in answer to the summons - one for each party member and three more, evidently for the three Humbled.
Linden literally runs out of Revelstone.
