Coercri...The Grieve...Heart's Cry... Whenever I read the Coercri chapter in The Wounded Land, I am moved beyond words. The way Covenant redeems the damned... 
After all of the horrifying and depressing changes we have met in the Land earlier in the novel...Coercri gives you the hope to go onwards. 
I love that chapter.

My favorite of all the chapters in the Chrons... Come! This is the caamora! Come and be healed! I had the honor to do this glorious chapter's dissection on the Watch. It rose the character of Thomas Covenant to an all time high level in my eyes. Donaldson is an absolute genius...nothing compares to this chapter. It is in a league all it's own. |

The only moment more moving for me was when the the Sun of Whatever came up and the trees grew and then grew and fell and all was grotesque and the Land was warped...almost come to tears, my heart clenches every time I remember it... |

Oh, yes. So many parts of that book broke my heart - including the poor tortured trees.
