This is the concluding chapter of the book.
We have the big showdowns between Sam and his godly supporters, the demons, the Hindu pantheon folks, and the crazy Christian zombie master guy. There is a lot of political intrigue as various parties decide who to ally with. There are betrayals and battles.
Yama must really love the woman who was Kali and who became Brahma. When she is killed in battle he takes her in for a new body. When the priests won't do it because she is dead, he kills them and does it himself. The result is a severely retarded young girl, whom he decides to keep and protect and call his daughter.
The crazy zombie master guy also dies, as does the demon king.
The days of the gods look to be numbered, and the humans will be able to develop technology and have much better lives.
However, in the end, it appears as if both Sam and Yama are called to another continent of the world, where there has been generations of warfare between the gods and "witches". While this story is ending, it is clear that the story is also only beginning.
And that goes well with the theme of reincarnation and rebirth which runs through the story. Time and lives circle around.
