The Battle of Patternfall; all of the family helps win the battle.

When Benedict and his arm kicks the crap out of Brand, and when Brand says 'good-night sweet Prince.'

Corwin's escape from Greenwood.

Merlin's triumph over both Dara and Mandor.

Corwin and Bleys storm Amber.

Corwin finds Benedict in Avalon. Further up, and further in!

"Come to Elfhand," the troll said.
The child thought for a while....
"N-no" said the child
"Why not?" said the troll.
"Mother made a jam roll this morning," said the child.

I'd have to say the entire scene when Corwin gets his eyes burnt out... is in his cell.... dworkin gets him out...

and when he comes back to kill Eric... and then kind of feel loss because it was his brother... and they were alike...blah blah...

For some reason, I really enjoyed the bit in 'Unicorn where Bill amiably confronts Carl Corey with his suspicions, and Corwin ends up confiding that he's not exactly human. I guess I just like the idea of having an Amberite as a neighbor ... uh, as long as it's not Julian, I mean.

Bill: "It is as if I were one of those minor characters in a melodrama who gets shuffled offstage without ever learning how things turn out."

Corwin: "I can appreciate the feeling. My own role sometimes makes me want to strangle the author." ******************

Oops, I guess Bill's not really his neighbor ... and Julian turns out to be not so bad, after all.

Anyhow, another favorite moment for me is when Ganelon administers a pummeling to Gerard in Corwin's defense. I'd rather it had been Corwin himself - payback for Gerard's 'closed-circuit message' bout - but oh, well.

I realize Gerard is supposed to be the simple, pure-at-heart Amberite, but I think he's kind of annoying. ******************

One of my favourite moments is in the first book, where Corwin first finds the family deck. When he finds himself and suddenly looks down and realises he's wearing all black and silver-grey clothing. It's like he was himself, even when he didn't know he was himself.

You are right. I like all the descriptions of Trumps. I like the idea of contact in such a way, too.

My other favourite moments are related to the blue cristal cave, where first Merlin is imprisoned by Luke and then the cave is used by Luke (later on by Merlin) as the place where you can hide.
I like the scene when Merlin is at Vinta's and Luke is looking for help. It is amazing how he can ask Merlin for help in such a situation! That's life: Trust and you're betrayed; don't trust and you betray yourself.
