The only books I have had literally fall apart on me are the American mass market paperbacks for the Wheel of Time books. I have wondered if it was the sheer size of them that caused the problem rather than bad glue or whatever. I have noticed that in carrying books with me at work, that when I read with gloves on (my work sometimes requires gloves) that American mass market paperbacks leave ink all over the gloves. |

Excellent! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! It sounds like a lot of people only tolerate it, or think it's maybe a bit better than average, then love the next books. Their opinion improves with rereads. (Actually, that was me with LFB.) But I loved GotM right off the bat! |

Good job, Cleburne! I was the same way. I didn't have the slightest problem with Gardens, and whipped through it. Twice, so far. And yet, the next books are better. Deadhouse Gates and Memories of Ice are as good as any fantasy I've ever read. Absolutely blows me away! |

*drool drool drool* DG freakin' rocks!!!! And so glad you loved GotM! I'm not the only wacko, eh? I just started my third reading of it. I was gonna do the chronological order this time, like duchess. But I couldn't wait to get to the first four books again, so I'm back to published order. |
