Fear Sengar threatens to kill Trull Sengar over Trull's oft expresed doubts over Rhulad, the sword, and the unknown being/god who gave the sword to the Edur. The Edur and some Letharri forces have a big battle, and the Letharii queen and crown prince are captured. Trull befriends a demon who is bound to serve the Edur. When an Edur healer rufuses to help the injured demon, Trull strikes her, and starts a poop storn amongst the Edur. Another healer helps the demon. Fear and trull discuss the Letharii - fear cannot understand why and how such a corrupt people can make so many advances such as steel, which is unknown to the Edur. Trull explaisn that the Letharii thrive on change and think to the future, whereas the Edur cling to the ways of their fathers and resist change. trull again questions Rhulad and the unknown god who is giving him power. Fear tries to kill him, and the demon protects him. |
