I thought I would start a thread for Cleburne as he is reading this wonderful book for the first time. :)

I'm not sure how far along he is, so I am spoiling anything but the most broad statements.

Some highlights:

Erikson does a great job with the characterization of Felisin.

And there is Coltane and Duiker and the Chain of Dogs. Amazing storyline and amazing writing.

And the desert. The desert might be my most favorite setting of all of Erikson's broad broad world. :cloud:

Few words in all of literature (and none come to mind at the moment) give me feelings nearly as powerful as the three little words: Chain of Dogs. Erikson is a genius. The length and depth of it all... Just astounding. Coltaine. Duiker. Bult. *shiver*

Completed Dead house Gate yesterday found it interesting and I had to finish it so i read the last 100 pages in one hit. I have a few quetions I probably ask when my brain has digested it completly. One is Im sure that Coltaine and Duiker will come back to live another day :?: And is there anything significant about Duiker nameless marine (whoes name was reveiled at the end (Sa'yless Lorthal)should I see something in that name :?: ).
I liked Bult and was sad to see him go but founD the death of the surrendered army outside Aren as as bit OTT and then after the distruction of the Wickands and the 7th Army the Rebels are commanded to retreat back to Raraku.
One more question basically the Deadhouse gates is the Azath, am I right or completly wrong :?:
:newyear:
