I have never really felt that I understand that particular subplot. :box:

I have read through Bonehunters, but do not mind explanations/spoilers from later books if it makes sense of this issue. :)

(Are these things prisons for souls/minds? Where do they come from? Who is trapped in them and how if anyone is indeed trapped in them? Who made them? I do not quite understand the whole boar war god thing from MOI. How could these statues affect a god like that - ie what are their powers? Can they mess with other gods, too, or was the boar god uniquely vulnerable due to the treatment of his priest?)

Also remember that I am due for a reread, so keep your explanation on a simple "Malazan for Dummies" level.

Are you sure that Ike is not Fener? I'd swear that Quick Ben or someone like that saw Ike when they arrived in Letheras, and they said something like "Hood's Balls! That green-ass bitch over there is freaking Fener!" Are you telling me I just imagined that? Or were they just kidding?

Just the kind of thing I expect from someone with no aliases.

You have to remember as well that the Errant met Fener in RG, and the description we got of the god in his current form was nothing like Icarium.

Yeah, and the Errant certainly didn't look like I would have expected him to.... (Hiya, Murrin!)

Yes. The moon had been hazy a book or two back, because of all the dust thrown up from the many impacts. Then the statues/fragments started hitting earth, and Spite was in dragon form, getting hit as she was protecting others.
