I have always run into this store for teas and gourmet snacks (they have great prices on things like bags of nuts and tubs of chocolate covered blueberries). But last time I went there I had time to explore the freezer section. It is well worth exploring! They have really good stuff there (under their store label) that are difficult if not impossible to find in this part of the country such as cheese and green chili tamales, sword fish steaks, and Maryland crab cakes. We have prepared these things and all ended up being delicious! Pear tarts! YUMMY!!!! |

Envy, envy, envy. I have briefly visited TJ's in Washington state and California, but have not had a chance to really explore one yet. I hope they expand in to Florida soon. |

From TJ's freezer, butter chicken, turkey meatballs, salmon burgers, and chicken breast tenderloins (minimally processed!) are all staples in our house. In the non-freezer aisles, I rely on their low-sodium soups and broths (because they really *are* low sodium, not to mention tasty), whole-wheat couscous, and unsalted almond butter and peanut butter. And we were thrilled that chocolate Cats cookies were back in stock, when we went last weekend. There's no TJ's in Colorado yet, either, although there are a few in NM (another reason for me to consider NM as a retirement location...). |

My new find last weekend in the TJ freezer section was vegetable samosas. |
