Eat: Marinated Steak tips, just slightly overcooked.

Drink: An ice cold Mr. Pibb after a double shift at work.

we went out to lunch today at a little Thai place we'd not been to before.

for under $6/person they brought out a platter of really great food - the entre in a bowl, salad, unbelievably good Thai noodles, and fried rice

so:
eat: Thai food
drink: hot tea with lunch

We had homemade with our lunch today.

When sorrel comes into season, my friend and I buy a huge bag of it, cook it into schav, and freeze it for future use (no eggs, so it freezes fine).

My recipe is fairly similar to the one linked. I cook the sorrel in water, and add lemon juice, salt and a little chopped onion. We serve it with chopped raddishes, cucumbers, and scallions and add a dollop of sour cream (or yogurt - which is not traditional, but lower in fat).

YUM!
