OK, OK, OK...

I'll take chapter six, The Man Trap, and depending on how that goes, put me on for chapter eleven, The Western Mountains.

*although I'll defer to High Drake, should he want either or both of those*

Whatever. I'm one of those shallow people who doesn't love ToA or Tehanu. Not enough flash for me. :lol:

So any chapters are fine. I'll do Chapter 2 after duchess starts us off. And 7, I guess. Something with Ged in it. heh

I'm right there with you on ToA. But I do love Tehanu, in spite of what we see of Ged in that book.

Tehanu was the best of all. The first one, the worst. They get progressively better in fact I think.

(I better reread ToA quick...lucky I'm nearly finished Snow Crash.

The first the worst? I highly disagree Av. Nothing is the worst from LeGuin.

Kismet has struck! Yesterday I went looking, again, for Tombs at Don's, couldn't find it so I asked them to call me when a copy came in. We picked up my car at the mechanics and on the way back Tam spotted a silver car at the bookstore and had a feeling someone just dropped off a copy. When we got home there was a message from Kim at the store saying that some person named Jeanne dropped off a copy 15 minutes after I left.

This copy is the 1984 Bantam paperback and I've never seen this cover before. I swear I will teach myself to use my scanner in the next couple of days so you guys can see this. It's a wild underground scene, probably from the chapter (my chapter, hahaha!) The Light Under the Hill, where a very beautiful Arha and Ged are running
from something dire and you can see the labyrinth on the back of the cover. Outstanding artwork by Yvone Gilbert.
