Recently read Matheson's "Hell House". Good but not great. I find many of the horror elements no longer scary in today's world. Just the idea of ghost's appearing doesn't have the same affect they did on me, or others, in the early 70s. Probably Shirley Jacksons's "The Haunting" was the last true horror book I read and really enjoyed. |

About to start P. N. Elrod's Vampire Files series, collected into two trade paperback omnibi. Not sure if these will be horror or fantasy, though. |
