Ok, do not know if this post should go here. But here goes anyway.
There is magazine of short stories called Weird Tales publisher Wildside Press/DNA Publications. The latest issue, at my Barnes and Noble, has a short story by Magaret Carter members.aol.com/MLCVamp/vampcrpt.htm. A short story about vampires, but not vampires from our Western tradition, but vampiric creatures from the Phillipino world. An interesting and unusual twist.
Since taking the beginning fiction course at my local community college, I have gained an increased respect for short stories. taraswizard
