 Whoa...I always had suspicious feelings about the Church of Scientology, but a secret army?? What the heck?? I'm not sure I would be eager to read Mr. Duignan's book as it will doubtlessly be depressing and disturbing...but I'm more alarmed that the Scientology lawyers managed to block publication of it (in the UK, anyway).

Agree on that last.  Still, say what you like about scientology, L.Ron Hubbard was a good sci-fi writer. According to legend, he and a couple of other golden-agers made a bet over who could start a sustainable religion. He won. --A |
